The School operates a daily private bus service for students within Ipswich and the western suburbs of Brisbane (north to Indooroopilly, east to Sunnybank Hills and south to Greenbank and Springfield).

Ipswich Grammar School is steeped in history. The original school building, known as the Great Hall, has been lovingly restored and still stands today as a monument to over 160 years of educating boys. This fine gothic structure is nestled amid a complex of modern facilities including a Precinct of The Arts, Auditorium, Science building, Information and Technology Centre, Library and Resource Centre, Industrial Technology and Design workshops, gymnasium, heated pool, and the multi-purpose Sports Dome.
Grammar Arms Park sporting complex is just a five-minute drive away. The Risson Centre that stands onsite, caters for sporting functions and is also recognised as a leading conference and seminar venue. The facility hosts GPS cricket, rugby, football, cross country and has eight international standard tennis courts and a clubhouse.
